I have a current account / Offset Mortgage with IF. Just called them and I can convert my Cheque Book/Debit Card into an Electron Card.
I have asked them to do this as I no longer require cheques.
Any problems and I’ll update this page.

We thought, as you can see in the comments, that Intelligent Finance didn’t issue Visa Electron cards anymore. If they still do, that would be great news!
How long ago was you card issued?

I have a Visa Electron card issued by Intelligent Finance. No charge for loading it and a saving of £5 each way per passenger when booking flights with Ryanair! A saving of almost 50% on some routes!

I believe that Travelex also issue them.

thanks for the update. Could you let us know a little more about La Caixa? Does it apply to the UK market or only for people with accounts in Spain or former residents? Is there any link to read?

IF have stopped current accounts from 1st July, so no electron

I used Halifax to get a STG Electron

My La Caixa (Spain) bank in Vigo Galicia provided me with my Euro Electron

La Caixa will open accounts for non-residents but you have ask for Electron otherwise they will issue a combined Visa Credit / Debit card
