I had a visa electron with alliance and leicester. However, the atm ate my card one night outside asda…leaving me with no way to pay for my shopping!

I got on the phone the next day and was told I would have a new card sent out in the post! It never arrived, so I called agian…the next one never arrived either!!! I then called at a branch and was advised to call telephone banking from the branch itself, again my card never arrived! I made one last visit to A & L and the advisor called telephone banking…

…Apparently they had stopped issuing visa electron cards and as a result had changed mine to visa debit, this caused a problem with the system and it did not send the new card.

I then recieved a visa debit in the post a few days later! Not happy!

I’ve changed banks now because of this fiasco to barclays, but after reading this site I’ll be online with halifax in 2 mins to register for a visa electron.
